Rose is a qualified clinical counsellor, registered with the Counsellors and Psychologists Association and with PACFA. She has a B.A. in counselling, training in Mental Health, Training and Assessment and Prayer Ministry. Her work is underpinned by psychodynamic theory and the inner child, enabling exploration of childhood wounding and its affect on adult functioning.

Other studies include understanding of brain and behaviour, Dementia, and intellectual disability. Rose has worked extensively with carers within the wider community.

Rose incorporates different models of therapy to assist in the healing and well being of her clients, including cognitive behaviour therapy, Narrative and Psychodynamic theory as well as inner child work, Prayer Ministry and spiritual healing.

Roses teaches and presents workshops in the local community, for example – “Understanding Depression” “Stress Management”

She is a course leader and team leader for Elijah House Ministries and a Board member on the Board of Governance.

Jenny is a qualified Clinical Counsellor, registered with the Counsellors and Psychologists Association and with PACFA. She has a Bachelor of Counselling and qualifications in Family Therapy and Mental Health.

She has more than 20 years experience in this field and is an accredited and experienced family and relationship therapist and supervisor. She enjoys working with families to receive a positive outcome and other areas of personal growth. She also runs groups on grief and loss and depression.

Jenny specializes as an educator in the Mental Health arena and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role.

Saskia West

Saskia holds an Associate Degree in Applied Social Science (Counseling) through the Australian College of Applied Psychology, is a Certified Parent Educator and member of the Positive Parenting Network of Australia (www.parent.net.au) and the International Network for Children and Families (I.N.C.A.F.). She is also a consultant of Positive Discipline (www.positivediscipline.com) in classrooms.
With more than 8 years experience in working with parents and children, Saskia has helped to create a more loving, co-operative and peaceful environment within many homes. She also works in schools with teachers and students reducing discipline problems through strategies that encourage self-discipline, responsibility, co-operation, and problem-solving skills.
Saskia runs many parenting talks, workshops and courses in the St George area including a 15 hour course entitled “Redirecting Children’s Behaviour”. She is passionate about the importance of parenting and believes that despite its challenges parenting can be rewarding and fun.

Christine Shannon

Chris is a qualified counselor who holds a Bachelor of Counselling degree. Chris' passion is to assist women overcome issues such as depression, anxiety and low self esteem. Chris runs a six week depression course three times a year and a depression support group. Chris also co-runs self esteem workshops teaching women to accept who they are and overcome negative thinking patterns. Chris uses a variety of approaches when counseling clients. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.


Counselling is a process where the counsellor helps a person explore, understand and find resolution for problems in life and relationships. The counsellor provides emotional support, encourages personal growth and helps the client find new ways of dealing with their situation setting goals for change.
